The wonderful community of Competa and its surrounding villages once again, gave tremendous support for the fundraising at the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
This was held on 26th September and over one hundred and thirty people came along to El Pilon Restaurant, Competa to enjoy tea, coffee or Bucks Fizz together with an amazing selection of over thirty delicious home-made cakes.
Liz had a terrific tombola table, probably one of the largest to date with a display of over ninety donated prizes.
All this together with two games of “Guess the Coffee Beans in the Jar” and “How many 100s and 1000s on the cake?” raised at the time of going to press, 1613 euros to be shared equally between MacMillan Cancer Support, UK and Cudeca Cancer Care, Spain. A fantastic achievement, thank you to everyone for your kindness and support by either baking a cake, volunteering to help me on the day, donating a prize or coming along to the event. This enables MacMillan Cancer Support ensure that no-one faces cancer alone and Cudeca Cancer Care to continue with their special kind of caring by adding life to days.
