Celebrating Art and Story

If you love children's books and are looking for a part-time job that's a just little bit different, then becoming a Barefoot Stallholder may be just what you are looking for!

Founded in 1993 by two working mothers, Barefoot Books is an independent business based in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the US and Bath in England. The company enjoys an international reputation for the quality of its products, and for the importance it places on creativity, diversity and an acceptance of the world's many traditions.

The Barefoot European Stallholder programme lets you run your own Barefoot business, marketing and selling our award-winning books and gifts for children in your community and/or online. It is entirely free to join, and you'll be rewarded for any sales made according to our competitive compensation plan. At registration, you have the option to purchase a Barefoot Starter Pack at a reduced rate of £64.99 (plus £12 p&p) and receive a selection of our best-selling products and marketing materials worth more than £150. You can also subscribe to your very own Business Website for just £39.99 for six months. The programme is flexible, with no minimum sales targets to meet. If you make annual personal sales of £300, we'll automatically renew your membership for another year!

(Please note: – As a Stallholder operating outside the UK, you will be purchasing our products and will be paid commission in Sterling. However, we advise that you use a recommended retail price in Euros for your customers.)

As a Barefoot Stallholder you will receive lots of support from the Barefoot Support team and the Customer Services Team as well as a dedicated European Stallholder Sales Manager and, of course, me! (Although I live in the UK, my parents
live near Competa and so I visit regularly). You will also receive a series of ten Training Modules every two days from the day you register, via email, and will also receive a Stallholder Handbook (this is provided in your optional Starter Pack when you register or can be purchased separately for £10 once you are a member.). There is also a lively international online forum which allows you to connect and share experiences with other Stallholders, whether they are in the US, the UK or Continental Europe. There are also interactive online chats and conference calls, run by experienced Stallholder Sales Managers covering a variety of topics. Each year there are regional workshops, including an annual leadership conference and a bi-annual international conference where you can meet the co-founders, Nancy Traversy and Tessa Strickland.
