The Grapevine Magazine started as an inland publication for the villages of Archez, Competa, Canillas de Albaida and Sayalonga in the Axarquia region of Spain.
Due to the success of the magazine and the invaluable information it provides, the magazine is now distributed to further coastal and inland areas in the Axarquia such as Lake Vinuela, Torre del Mar, Torrox Pueblo and Costa to name just a few.

Eighteen months ago the Grapevine Magazine started as an inland publication in and around the village of Competa in the Axarquia region of Spain. Now the magazine is distributed to both coastal and inland areas in the Axarquia covering over 20 villages. As the magazine has increased in size and distribution so has our readership.
It has become a directory for the English speaking people in the area and used by many outside of Spain. This website now replicates the magazine with the business directory and all articles on line. However, we have taken it a step further The Grapevine website has information on local attractions in your area, descriptions of the villages, a festival calendar, local recipes and much more. So, whether you are living here in Axarquia or plan to live here or taking a holiday www.thegrapevine.es will provide all the essential information you need from buying a house, to where to go for a day out or simply finding a plumber to fix your leak.
The website will evolve over the next few weeks, month’s years just as the magazine did. Bienvenido a las páginas Web de la revista ‘La Parra’ www.thegrapevine.es.
Hace dieciocho meses la revista La Parra empezó, era una publicación de los pueblos interiores alrededor de Cómpeta en la zona de la Axarquía, España. Hoy en día la revista está distribuida en las zonas interiores y las costas de la Axarquía, recorriendo más de 20 pueblos.
Se ha hecho un directorio para la gente que hablan ingles en la zona y también muy útil para los que están fuera de España. Estas páginas Web reproducen la revista con el directorio de negocios y todos los artículos en el Internet. Sin embargo, las hemos ampliados, y las páginas Web tienen información de eventos locales, descripciones de los pueblos, un calendario de los festivos, recetas locales y mucho mas…. Entonces, no importa si usted vive aquí en la Axarquía o piensa hacerlo en el futuro, o simplemente está de vacaciones, la revista La Parra le puede facilitar toda la información necesaria desde comprando una casa hasta donde puede ir un día de excursión o encontrar un fontanero para arreglar una avería.
