Whether you are on holiday or live out here, you might not want to spend all your time on the beach, by the pool or in a bar or restaurant. So, what else can you do? Why not try a quad bike tour?
Quad Ventures is a new business set up by Yvonne and Keith of Benamargosa. Keith is a Quad enthusiast and wanted to create an activity which incorporated fun and seeing the beautiful mountain landscapes.
They have devised tours suitable for novice through to experienced riders, taking in the breathtaking views of the Lake Vinuela area. The starting point is Benamargosa by the river bed then following the mountain trail and taking in the sights of over six villages such as los Romanes, Sedella, Cutar, Canillas de Aceituno, Comares and Colmenar. They have researched the trails to provide a fantastic day out appropriate for the comfort and safety of both Quad and rider.
Yvonne and Keith are happy to pick customers up from the coast and bring them to the starting point at Benamargasa. You will have a 30 minutes induction prior to the tour to familiarise yourself with their Quad bikes and to learn how to ride them. No experience is necessary as all instructions are given and you will gain skill and experience throughout the tour. The only necessary requirement is a driving license for insurance purposes and for driving on the road which is touched at times between mountain tracks. The Quad bikes are Kymco 300cc automatics, and they are easy to drive and all safety gear is provided and must be worn as and when instructed.
Yvonne was keen to express how beautiful the landscape is where the tour travels and that it really must be seen. Keith was more enthusiastic about the fun and adventure of being on a quad bike. It sounds like a good day out to me on both accounts and one I really want to try! Despite Keith's enthusiasm he was surprisingly sympathetic to those who might not consider being on a Quad a fun activity. As a result of this, the couple also provide the same tour in the luxury of their four wheel drive jeep. The jeep can seat comfortably 4 people in an air conditioned spacious surrounding. This provides an ideal opportunity for group bookings where some can go on the Quads whilst others who don't want the quad experiences ride in the jeep. Both forms of transport take in the wonderful views and provide a fun activity.
Quad Ventures provides something different for fun in the Sun. prices start from 55 Euros per person so is exceptionally good value. Bookings can be made from 1 person to groups and is an ideal birthday present, so go on give it a go, I will be!
