OVER 50s SHOW FOR ESTEPONA IN NOVEMBER 2008
Following the 'huge success' of last year's inaugural event, the organisers of The Over 50s Show, the lifestyle event for seniors, claim that the 2008 event in Estepona this November will be 'bigger and better, and packed with many new features'. The inaugural Over 50s Show , attracted over 70 exhibitors and 5,500 visitors in 2007. The show, aimed at the Coast's seniors, offers a varied programme of displays, demonstrations and presentations on many subjects, including health, personal finance and wealth, management, consumer rights, legal issues, antiques, cosmetic procedures, insurance, home security, home and gardening, hobbies, golf and fashions.
The event is admission free and all presentations are also free..
Features will include:
Health testing and monitoring.
Including blood pressure testing, spinal screening, visual screening tests and hearing tests
Antique valuations.
Bonhams Auctioneers will value small collectibles and jewellery.
Computing and Internet tuition.
Visitors will be given tuition on using the Internet and sending emails.
Golf lessons from PGA professionals.
A team, of professionals golfers from the famous David Leadbetter Academy in La Cala will give lessons.Also
Gardening.
Gardening experts will answer visitors questions on all aspects of gardening.
Cosmetic procedures.
Leading specialists will explain the various procedures and recent developments.
Retirement villages.
Many people now living on the Coast are being attracted to the many new retirement villages , because of their security and medical facilities. A number of companies will be featuring their latest projects.
Personal finance
Recognising that most older people have an acute and necessary interest in their finances and investments, this subject will be another key component of the event. Investment advisors, equity release providers, income and inheritance tax consultants, mortgage and insurance providers and other specialists will be available to explain their products to visitors.
Property
Seniors planning to 'upsize', 'downsize', or increase their property portfolios in Spain and beyond can discuss their requirements with a variety of property companies and specialists
New features for 2008
The 2008 event will supplement these features, with a number of new attractions such as cosmetic and fashion make-overs, pets advice, wine tasting and crafts.
Commented show organiser John Low: 'The reaction from both exhibitors and visitors to last year's show was tremendously positive and we aim to build on the event's success ever year. The 2008 event will be at least 20 per cent bigger than last year, with at least 25 more stands.'.
The Over 50s Show will be held on the weekend of Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November at the Palaccio de Exposiciones y Congressos (Exhibition and Conference Centre) Estepona.
