Whatever you are doing on Saturday May 12th – Stop it at once!! And get yourself down to The Pavo Real by 1pm !
That’s where all the waggiest tails will be. That’s where all the fun and frolics will be.
That’s where The Scruffs Annual Dog Show will be! This is the Axarquia’s answer to Royal Ascot – and you don’t need a hat!
Every single year it gets bigger, better, more interesting and exciting!
It’s always enjoyable.
Our two judges are from our sister charity in The Netherlands and will be flying in to Do the Honours. How impressive is that?!
You don’t have to own a dog in order to come (although we can give you a TOGOF – Take One Get One Free. ☺)
Look at our poster to see the wide range of classes – for pedigree dogs, non-pedigree dogs, owners and dogs (check out the Best Six Legs!) There’s even a new class of Scruffiest Dog! You’ve all seen them – the Explosion in a Mattress Factory dogs! All sorts of scruffy dogs.
And what about the K9 Troopers !!!! YES. Their debut performance!
No tickets required (as opposed to Crufts which would have knocked you back more than ₤20!) You’ve heard of One Man and His Dog – well here is one man and his dog plus 5 women & each of their dogs. They will dance together to music! Don’t worry – the dogs love it too!
Quite frankly, if you miss it, you will be unable to hold up your head in all the best Social Circles!
Sponsors are already lining up; several complete classes have been claimed for a mere €90. Lots of other opportunities are available – for example-
1st place Trophy €50. 2nd place €30 Trophy, 3rd place Certificate €20 OR – do the lot for €90
Then there are the rosettes to sponsor, the doggy bags, the posters.
There is a possibility of paying for one of the 12 stalls. The CAS stall will offer you home made cakes, biscuits and pickles for eating later.
Don’t worry, you won’t starve on the day, the Pavo offers a bar and a BBQ as well.
There will be a giant Raffle, with excellent prizes & lots of ‘em.
Scruffs is not just about giving you the best afternoon of the year, it’s also about raising as much money as we can to support our work with abandoned and abused animals – many of which come from our neck of the woods. So I make no apology for saying. “Give us yer money!” In return – we’ll give you lovely memories…
