Louise is the longest standing Beautician in the area, her 5th year in Spain, having started her business – Beauty by Louise in 2004. The shop then developed from the same premises on the strength of Louise's beauty business, initially selling jewellery and handbags. In 2008, the business was re-branded as Louise Beauty and Boutique to concentrate and develop the shop element further. Louise and her partner Rob have now made further changes by extending the Boutique, in both the size of its shop and in its range of quality clothes. Now it stocks the regions largest range of quality UK clothing with over thirty different Per Una lines in addition to selected Wallis, Hooch and Monsoon ranges.
As a specialist Per Una stockist, Louise has identified a product range which offers her clients all that is best in a clothing range – quality, style and value for money, with prices below those found in the UK or Gibraltar.
Louise has recently renewed her links with the
Virgin Vie Company and can once again offer the full range of Virgin Vie skin care products, cosmetics and jewellery. Skin care products from this quality range are solely used in Louise's facial treatments.
Louise was keen to show off the extended Boutique and the new, bright and luxurious beauty room both of which have proved extremely successful in attracting further clientele. Everything in the boutique is displayed beautifully with tops, camisoles and blouses hanging with co-ordinated accessories of scarves and necklaces. On the shelves there are further beautiful product ranges including designer handbags, make-up to fashion sunglasses, evening purses, belts and shoes. New stock arrives every 2/3 weeks and Louise is always sourcing new suppliers both within Spain and particularly from the UK to provide expats with a greater choice of quality clothing. The clothing is offered in sizes from 8-20, although larger sizes are available on some lines. Louise explains the shop is now her wardrobe as before she found it hard to shop for clothes she really liked here in Spain, often stocking up when she went back to the UK to visit family. It is also a great place to find a present and with 3 styles of handmade cards for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and other occasions plus a free wrapping service it is a great place to find a unique gift.
So where did this all start? Louise explained she trained at Huddersfield technical college for 3 years, gaining a city and guilds Diploma in Beauty Therapy in 1988. She left college and joined Steiner Hair and Beauty Salon in Leeds. As the top beautician here she was given the opportunity to work on board the luxury liner QE2. Here she worked with a variety of clients including celebrities whilst gaining valuable experience on some very discerning customers. Louise finally disembarked from the QE2 in 1996 and went back to Yorkshire to open her own beauty therapy Salon that she successfully ran for 7 years. However, when her parents made the move to Spain she eventually made the move herself and thus Beauty by Louise was established.

Beauty by Louise ran successfully from the start and with many customers coming to her premises for beauty treatments it seemed only natural to offer them further beautiful things. Now customers travel from as far as Neja, Almunecar and Rincon regularly to see what Louise has in stock and nearly always walk away happy with some wonderful items.
