Las Nenas Kennels are owned by a Danish couple, who have lived in Spain since May 2004 except for a year an half when they were back in Denmark. They previously let out holiday homes and also owned a small real estate company.
Since returning to Spain in July 2009 they opened up a kennels as they felt there is the need for a focus on dogs not just being left to themselves, but being played with, stimulated and exercised.
As dog owners themselves they were aware that leaving your pet in another person´s hands is a matter of trust. It is extremely important to them that a kennel owner has time to care and meet each dog´s individual needs, so the temporary break from the owner is as smooth as possible. Which is exactly their aim. They believe the dog´s well being is as essential to the owner and themselves, as much as it is to the dog if self.
Las Nenas Kennel is situated in the countryside in the area between Canillas de Aceituno and Sedella, only half an hour drive from the coast. They have eight spacious individual kennels and one "family size". The kennels are protected from the sun and are sheltered from heavy rain and wind. In addition to this they have a large enclosed play area. Besides that they walk the dogs at least three times every day in quiet and ideal settings where there is hardly any traffic at all.
