This month I met with Dierk Pfeiffer of Axarquia Properties. Axarquia Properties was formally owned by Sally Harrison who I had the pleasure of working with many times over the 20 years she was in the property industry. However, last year, Sally decided to retire and thus approached Dierk to see if he would be interested in taking over her business.
Dierk is not new to Estate Agency having known Sally for at least the last 5 years and owned Andalucia Real Estate. Originally from Germany he has lived in the Canary Islands, the Dominican Republic and travelled round Europe. He believes it is this experience of buying in different countries, with different cultures and settling into a new lifestyle that gives him the understanding to ensure his clients buy the right type of property, in the right place, with all the support needed to be comfortable and happy in their new environment. In February this year Dierk opened up the current office in Benajarafe merged the two businesses Axarquia Properties and Andalucian Real Estate and kept one of Sally's' Staff Lorraine Doherty. He then employed another two members of staff, Annette v. Gotzen and Lorena Mastemaker. Between them all, English, Spanish, German, Dutch, Hungarian and some French is spoken. They all have previous experience in the property industry and follow Dierks philosophy of more than just an Estate Agency. They help with all the paperwork for example the electricity, water and internet contracts and also can help with reforms or any construction needed on a property.
I recently purchased a house in Algarrobo. I contacted many Real Estates before my purchase and received a prompt reply from Dierk . The agent very kindly collected me from my hotel and drove me to see many properties in my chosen location and price range. Nothing was too much trouble for him, also returning to my preferred property many times. He is very professional, personable and patient, providing all the information I needed for my purchase from start to finish. He recommended bank accounts, notary, builders etc. He acquired building estimates for me and did all the translations where necessary. I did not hesitate to give him power of attorney throughout my purchase for banking and legal matters. He kept me informed throughout and on completion changed water and electricity consumption into my name.He was always only a phone call away for any queries I had. Dierk explained business is good at the moment and future plans may include more offices perhaps one inland and another along the west coast. Currently due to relationships with other agents and the use of a central network of properties they have access to around 16579 properties. This also works both ways.
