Kyle began selling computers in Northern Ireland about 7 years ago.
At this time he saw a niche in his home town in Enniskillen for cheap PCs as larger shops were selling them for over a 1000 pounds and it was difficult to find them any cheaper. Although his computer knowledge was zero, he bought some trade magazines and began to source refurbished PCs from companies in England and started small, selling them from his shed at home. Demand was soon outstripping supply, and as his technical knowledge and confidence grew, he decided to open a shop in Belfast.
Again he started small, in a shopping centre in the city centre in the smallest unit. Within 2 years he had moved units 3 times until he was the occupier of the largest unit in the centre, and had opened his second shop in Lisburn, as well as a hugely successful online store, with customers from all over the UK and had a staff of 30 people. His business mantra has always been 'quality goods, cheap prices'. However, working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week and a hundred and sixty mile round trip to get to work everyday began to take its toll and he began to question if it was all worth it. So in September, he packed up the family, sold everything and settled in Competa.
Here he noticed the same thing as he did all those years ago in his home town: good quality, cheap PCs were unheard of. He still had a contract with his major supplier from the shops and decided to start importing directly to Spain. The firm he buys from are one of the most reputable companies in England, who deal only in A Grade refurbished stock (as new, no scratches, scrapes etc) which they buy from government, banks etc when they are upgrading their hardware.
