What a wonderful day out my family and I had at the Farmers Market, Chiringuito Antonio in Puente Don Manuel. On arrival we found plenty of parking in the car park next to the market and also in the olive grove opposite.

The market outside offered a wide range of stalls which included, household items, jewelry, clothes, pet supplies, books, pick and mix sweets, nuts, fresh fruit and vegetables. Inside there was a food hall located to the rear of the restaurant with Elaine the 'Pie Lady' selling her homemade pies and pasties which are freshly made, so are ideal for freezing. There is also a homemade cake stall which offers tasters! You can even have novelty cakes made to order! Homemade jams and chutneys and other food items are on offer to buy and taste. Anything you could possibly need and more.
All the stall holders, English and Spanish were helpful and friendly and made our visit extremely enjoyable.

Inside Chiringuito Antonio (Caramels) there is a fantastic cup of coffee to be had, also accompanied by a bacon roll for the excellent price of just 3 euros. For lunch there is a wide variety of tapas to be tried with a glass of chilled wine plus a menu offering an assortment of light bites and jacket potatoes etc, where the staff are welcoming and friendly offering their customer care.

After spending our time wandering around the market, we ventured out and we were extremely delighted with what we came across in such a small and friendly area. There was butchers, a bakery, 2 English shops; a selection of bars and restaurants both English and Spanish, there was nothing in the area that couldn't be found.

I would thoroughly recommend a visit to the Farmers Market at Chiringuito Antonio (Caramels) 10am to 2pm. It was well worth it!
